My Journey

I began my career as a nurse in Berlin, Germany, gaining experience in diverse healthcare fields, including HIV, oncology and palliative care.

Witnessing the amazing strength and resilience humans develop when confronted with life's biggest challenges deepened my interest in the human psyche.

I gained further education in counseling and psychotherapy and acquired clinical experience working with eating disorders, addictions, OCD, depression, and psychosomatic disorders. Additionally I have been actively involved in crisis intervention for young adults.

My training includes CBT, Psychodynamics and Schema therapy. I earned my license to practice in Germany and obtained diplomas in integrative Psychotherapy from IICP Ireland and the Institut für Psychotherapeutische Weiterbildung Frankfurt.

Motherhood and cross cultural understanding

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am a proud mother of three children. Being a parent has significantly enriched my perspective as a Therapist and contributed to my understanding of family dynamics and the various challenges each age brings.

Having lived with my family in various countries, I have an understanding of the unique cross cultural challenges that come with expat life, moving and starting anew as an individual as well as a family. Adjusting and finding one self in a new environment, culture or in a new school and building new social networks can be sometimes stressful and have an impact on mental health. I provide support that specifically addresses these challenges and transition times.
